OMG I'M SO EMBARRASSED. I feel like I've been caught naked. In my own house. By no one.
My list is seriously faulty. It is far from comprehensive, this is just a taste, I guess. I I thought about this carefully it would infuriate me beyond healthy blood pressure level how many terrible movies are well-loved.
~never saw wall-e ~perhaps you're a nazi sympathizer? ~i <3 huckabees helps ease stupid people into more complex ideas about nihilism, solipsism, pan-theism etc. at least i've been able to use it that way. ~dude fuck christian bales batman voice. i don't know if you can deny heath ledger's performance, though. ~meh, take it or leave it. i found it interesting, and being a fan of english historical literature (pope in particular) i couldn't help but "get it" though it's been a few years now and i don't remember what i "got".
as far as 3&5 go, it has to do with how much more they have to do with the mind than they do with the world, which is certainly the way i approach existence. it's why my friends and i watch them. but i can understand why people don't like them. their message, as it were, is covered up with all of this bullshit that's intended to help it sell. it's easy to lose interest when you're hacking through all this crap in the way
Unfortunately I have seen Eternal Sunshine about five times now, I <3 Huckabees three times and Dark Night twice and I cannot cannot cannot get past my douchey movie snob attitude :(
WHAT...ok the other 4 I understand but NUMBER 2???? It was so sad. Is it because you watched it in Ms Wickett's class?
ReplyDeleteI know, it's the hardest one for me too!! I don't understand I must be the most miserable person on the entire planet.
ReplyDeleteYet... I'm exuberant.
Urgh I don't get the hype around Wall-E though...maybe I just have a cold heart? I feel an investigation is in order
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA I just laughed so hard at the last part. Let's each hire a P.I. for the other so we can figure out why we're so bitter.
ReplyDeleteI AM READING YOUR BLOG
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of blog buzz today. I can't understand why anyone likes number 3 or 5. They are bad.
I revisited number 1 because I wasn't sure if I was tricked into thinking it was not stupid. Verdict: I am very easily tricked.
Add Tropic Thunder to this list.
HAHAH it's because internet anonymity is bringing out the worst in us...AS USUAL
